Chris left Alaska in 2002 to run Swamp Mama's Blues club
in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. But he promises to return
often and continue his support of Blues on The Green.

 

Paul Byrd
and The Escalators
Paul returned to Texas where he now
bases his career out of Fort Worth and
he does make it back to Alaska each year.

 

"Sourdough" Mike McDonald
(1952 - 2002)
Known for his deep baritone voice, comic
performances at the Fly By Night Club and
love of children died January 8, 2002 of
pancreatic cancer - he was 50.

 

"Louisiana" George Santieu
The father of the Blues in Alaska, 
and the patriarch of Blues Central
died on July 15, 2001. His legend lives on.
